things they don't tell u about pregnancy

No one ever told me how much after labor hurts! I personally think all the pain u go through after labor is worse than the actual labor itself! Having to heal from pushing a 6lb+ baby out really messes up ur vagina! Lol, I had no idea how much u swell up and how damn sore it is afterwards. All people ever talk about is how bad labor is, but to me with an epidural labor is easy! It hurts when the baby is almost out but shoot when u hear "one more push" all u think is so push like crazy to see ur joy! Waiting for these stiches to heal is torture too! Not to mention no one tells u ur uterus has to contract back normal...meaning u get contractions!  Ah, pregnancy lol

I can totally relate, I had an epidural as well so I barely felt a thing labor wise, other than pressure. But I also had stitches that had to heal, plus when she was coming out apparently she knocked my hip bone out of place and two of my vertebrates out of alignment. I didn't feel it happen during labor bc of the epidural but boy DoD I feel it after. Lol... I thought it was just normal for my back and hips to hurt so I didn't even go to a doctor about it for a couple of months and finally gave in and found out what had really happened, but a chiropractor knocked everything right back in to place and I was all good. So a heads up to all the new mommy's, if you feel lime you're not healing go get checked out bc there could be a more serious underlying issue at hand. Labor is definitely tough on a woman's body in many ways. I never do have any post pregnancy contractions though from my uterus shrinking though.

I was worried about being in a situation like that where I couldn't get the epidural. I was already 6-7cm when I came to the hospital with contractions but lucky me I dilating to 10 cm pretty slowly and was able to get it! Couldn't imagine labor without it!

After labor it's going to be so hard getting around! My best friend has become ice packs, soaking in Epsom salt, numbing spray and foam, and medicated cooling pads! Not to mention plenty of pain killers!

I've experienced labor both with and without an epidural. It all depends on when u get to the hospital if u can be medicated or not. With the epidural the itching sides effects were annoying but it is worth it. You feel 1000% better after the pushing is done. I was so exhausted I fell to sleep a few minutes after... I woke up to a wheel chair. Natural birth is a different type of pain. Its literally unbearable. I got to the hospital and had dilated 10cm already. What's crazy is that I had an ultrasound appointment earlier that day... I had just found out the gender. This is my third pregnancy im now 35wks and I'm going to the emergency room for any little thing because I don't want to be caught off guard.

I couldn't imagine labor without an epidural! I was screaming for one at 10 pm and didn't have my son until 8:19am the next day! To me the contractions are just unbarable!  I hardly ripped but I did a little and even this hurts like crazy. Plus no one tells u it will be hard as hell to have ur first bowel movement after labor!
