contractions
I have a dr's app soon but having contractions what will they do?
He'll probably check your cervix and let you know. If your dilated enough, they'll send you to L&D, if not they may send you home until they are a little closer. They say to wait until they are 5 mins apart and pretty painful. If you already have a doc appt soon, i would just go in then- but bring your hospital bag just in case!

How far along are you? How often are you getting contractions? Are you talking about braxton hicks? Braxton hicks will feel like a tightening of your uterus like a big cramp. If you are having more then 6 braxton hicks in an hour you should call your doctor. It is perfectly normal to have braxton hicks threw out your second and third trimester. Are the contractions painful? If you think your having real contractions and you can time then closer then 10 minutes apart and arnt yet 37 weeks you should go to the hospital. Braxton hicks are just your body's way of preparing for labor and are absolutely nothing to worry about.
