Yeah I shared my room with my daughter and I rearranged it every week for two months before she came trying to make enough space and make it look right! Lmao. This one is going to be even harder to figure out space because now I have a smaller room and a bigger bed. And my daughters room is to small and cluttered to put any thing in there ... but I can't wait to start buying stuff and setting up for this little one to come out and take over my bedroom like my daughter did <3

the dresser i bought is from ikea. saw it on interest it has 8 drawers and the top four are smaller and im gonna store diapers and wipes in two on the side that the changing pad is on. ive also thought about buying a small caddy on wheels that could be used to house all that stuff that i could wheel from room to room depending where i am with the baby. so in our bedroom the first few weeks then in their room and during the day near the play pen in the livingroom so id dont just have random diaper and wipe containers all over the place.

For my first daughter I had a changing table so I didn't use a dresser for the changing table but I've always thought doing that was much cheaper and space saving. If I was to do that I'd probably use one of the top drawers as a diaper and wipe drawer... but another good idea for that is stackable bins! I had a three piece of the bins that stack on top of each other so it kind of looked like a little shelf, and they snapped together so it is stable. I used the top one for receiving blankets the middle for burp rags and bibs and bottom for her little booties and baby shoes. If u got something like that you could use it for diapers wipes, lotions, ointments etc and have it on the top of the dresser and it would be more organized and less cluttered looking. I always hated that the changing table shelves looked so cluttered and I'd knock everything over when I would grab her lotion or wipes or whatever.

painting the dresser sound perfect but i agree we some of the ladies that the paint may chip on the crib and maybe a stain would work better. i bought a large dresser for our nursery and im using half of it as a change table too! you can buy the pads separate. i felt that a change table wasn't very multipurpose and a waste of money too, and any mother ive talked to said they rarely used theirs they would just change the baby where ever they were in the house and used it maybe at night if they had to chnage the baby in the room in the middle of the night or something. we just painted the nursery!  so excited!

I don't see a problem with it as long as your in a well ventilated area. My boyfriend, dad and I are painting my room for the baby after Christmas and I'll be around the same time and my doctor said that was fine. Just keep the Windows and door open and have a fan on.

Not sure about paint on the crib because it may chip. Maybe staining it would be better. I got my changing table from Burlington Coat factory it was originally 169.99, but I got it for 44.99 due to it being the last on display. You should check out there  they have done good deals. :)
