cramping legs.

In my 3rd trimester. 33 wks to be exact. I've been having a lot of pain in my legs. Every day for a wk now. They ache and I can't seem to get the pain to leave. I stretch very often. And I thought maybe it was the fan, I sleep with the fan on high every night. But then last night I didn't and yet again my legs have been aching all day! I even been using icy hot. What else can I do? Anyone else dealing with the issue?

Try sleeping with ur legs propped on a pillow also, that seemed to help me. But apparently it is common in the last trimester.

Oh I have been eating bananas, milk and lots of water. I'm a water freak when I'm pregnant. Taking my prenatal too of course. Weird I've been taking in all the right things but lots of pain too. Thanks ladies appreciate the response!

Yes, calcium, potassium, and water. Dehydration cause muscle aches as well. I've gotten Charlie horses in my calves for years because of low calcium and potassium. I'm lactose sensitive so I take 1000mg of calcium a day since I don't get much calcium in my diet.  And bananas help! But you don't need more than one a day really, don't over do it. Check the contents of your prenates if you're taking them as the calcium just might not be enough for you right now. Especially since baby is pulling a lot of what you take in away from you!

Take your prenatal vitamins.  As muscle cramps are due to calcium and potassium deficiency.  And breath.
