cramps vs labor

These cramps are VERY bad! Like I wanna cry! I'm scared to go in if they will just send me home. My hospital I chose to go to is about 30 min away.. when do I officially go in for pain?! I'm at 2cm & 70% effaced as of last week... so it's about that time if anything were to happen!

Stomach gets harder and harder the further into labor you are, so if it's not super hard right now, I wouldn't worry

Just Called over to Labor & Delivery & talked to one of the Dr's-- she said to def time them & said that it could be the start of labor happening before the real painful contractions start! I also did acupuncture today! So maybe that did something? Lol

Oh! I thought they weren't because my stomach doesn't get really hard like they say is supposed to happen. I just feel like I'm on my period really bad! They're coming so far about every 7 minutes or less. If they keep up for more than an hour I will call the triage nurse

Yes, it can be, with my second i didn't start having real painful contractions till i was 7cm already that's when i actually started feeling contractions,  before it was just cramp pain, but everyone is different so maybe you should go in to get checked out, that way you'll know if there was any progress for you since last week like ur saying

Time them. If they are less then 5 mins apart go to the hospital asap.
