craving steak

Is it OK to eat a medium-rare or medium-well steak while pregnant?  I have been craving steak for about a week now but I only eat medium-rare.

No . Any meat has to be well done because there can be bacteria in it if it's not fully cooked and a doctor will tell you any meat you have has to be well done

I have never had any issues with steak being medium rare. It was actually my last meal before going in to have my daughter in my second pregnancy.

They do say to have all meats cooked all the way through.
Medium.
Not medium well.
Or well done.
The last two ruins meat. Especially steak.
Me personally I eat my steak medium rare but if it worries you too much medium is okay too. Not my favorite but it tastes good.

It's not recommended to no, you shiuld have all meat cooked to well done. I'm 36 weeks and I have been craving a medium rare steak since I found out,but I haven't had one. I've told my bf (who's a chef) that it's the first meal i want after I have the baby lol.
