Good-bye my beloved Rocker

last week I posted about my 12 year old German Shepherd being very sick. we had to euthanize him this morning.

I feel so empty inside. I feel a thick lump in my throat and wish it was all a nightmare and not real. we buried him in our backyard. I can't believe my beloved fur baby is gone.

I wish he cud have been there at least another 3.5 months until my baby girl is born. I feel so shattered, like my world is crumbling and torn apart. if I weren't prego I wud have smoked and drank myself sick to ease the pain.

I'll forever be grateful for the joy he brought our family. he's now with God in heaven.

I'm so sorry, you're in my thoughts.  Losing a pet is so difficult, they truly are never with us long enough. I will say it does get better, but it truly takes time.  My mom still tears up when talking about the maltese she had as a teenager. My mom is 63, and moppy has been gone 40 years now.  I still think about the family dog we had growing up, a beautiful American Eskimo,  fur bright white,  and the smartest dog I knew.  I cry, but I also smile thinking back on the adventures we had.  I get annoyed when people say "get over it, it's just a dog". I'm like"No, they address a part of my family". Gah preggo hormones, I'm crying now lol.  Again so very sorry, cry when you need to, it is truly painful.

So sorry for your loss.
Try to think about Rocker, this was the best for him.
He is no longer in pain and that is a small comfort.

I recommend to not get a new dog for a while, grieve your loss of Rocker.
When your heart is ready to accept a new furry friend , you'll know.

I lost my husky back in february, So i know the hurt and the pain ur feeling. I went on vacation and left her with family and came back and she was dead. The irony is i conceived my son that weekend and im due in 26 days. Sometimes i feel bad knowing i was having fun while she was dying. But their at peace now and we should take some comfort in that

I know exactly how you feel! I was devastated when we had to put down my 8 yr old lab from cancer. She was going to be my flower girl at my wedding and we had purchased our first home with a big back yard just for her. It's been 7 months and every time I think about her I can't help but cry. I'm sure they are both playing up there and will watch over our little ones from heaven.

Aww! I am so sorry! Poor doggy :(. Putting down a dog is so hard. You get so attached to them.  I know exactly how you feel.  My lolli pug would snore when she slept so the first few days it was so quiet and I would just cry myself to sleep.  I still miss her each and every day.  All You can do is think of the good times you had with him. . All the good memories. You guys gave him a great life. And know that you did the right thing.. He was suffering and now he can be at peace and doesn't have to suffer anymore. He can run and be happy. You are my thoughts.

I can't even imagine your pain. Yall are gonna think I'm ridiculous for this but I had this dwarf hamster (omg I'm about to cry typing this) and her name was Lemmiwinks (southpark name) and I was sooooo beyond attached to her. She acted just like my dogs would and when I would come home she would wake up and run to the front of the cage and stand up on her hind legs so I would hold her.. she passed away right before I got pregnant and it still makes me so sad thinking about her. She's the only pet that I've had that's passed away and it's so hard emotionally. Even though she was a hamster, I was more bonded to her than dogs my family owned when I lived with my parents.
