curious?

So, I am curious to know if any of you were on medication for anxiety or depression and still take it now while pregnant. I stopped but noticed it's very hard on my off days to even associate with ppl. I talked to my doctor and she said she knew ppl that took their meds all throughout their pregnancy and had absolutely no problems. Idk if I should just pull through or continue taking them it's been a hard decision but my family says I definitely need to start them again /:

It's tough to weigh it out. I used to take klonopin but apparently *all* benzos (xanax, ativan, valium, etc) can cause birth defects. I had to stop Effexor to switch to zoloft. And stop trazadone, tramadol, ambien...I think it boils down to the doctor's experience and preference with certain meds and if they feel they would do more good than bad. Good luck!! :) going off anxiety meds sure does suck :/

I think it is Zoloft that is approved by pediatricians, but it says right on the bottle that in the last trimester it can harm baby. There can be some birth defects and baby can go through withdrawals after its born.
It's a tricky situation. Depression/anxiety is a serious problem. Idk momma. Maybe just try not taking them in your third trimester.

hi yes I'm still taking my med for depression there is always a risk but being controlled and pregnant than being pregnant and depressed.   I suggest you go to the dr and see what affects non, mild or don't take at all and take care of your depression.  I take wellbutrin and zoloft which are considered mild.  Hope this helps
