decreased movement

Yesterday I went in to labor & delivery for the first time because I didn't feel my little girl move as much or as strong all day. Thank God she's ok and was told is because the placenta is in front when she moves I don't feel it and I have to do the kick counts. 10 moves per 2 hours. Today again I feel her very gently and not as much. I don't want to spend everyday at the hospital and them get annoyed with me but it just worries me because I'm so used to feeling her a lot ! She basically does karate and now is just not as much. I'm so nervous because I just turned 35 weeks today and being so close I dont want anything wrong to happen. Any of you going through the same ? And what do you do to get your little one to move more throughout the day

Yesterday I asked and the doctor said movement shouldn't decrease that it should stay the same. Yes she's getting bigger. I do feel nudges instead of kicks. That was my other questions. I wasn't sure if that counted but he also said yes. I got her moving more with music :) I just want to feel her all day everyday to make sure she's fine lol thank you ladies !!

Had a dr app. Today and I was told something cold and sugary to drink. Or just cold, really cold. Walk, eat or lay on your back to get baby to move if you dont feel anything. Within a hr. Then you should go! Hope this help and good luck.

The hospital would never think you are wasting their time hun, that's what they are for! If your worried please please call! I was in hospital getting monitored 4 days in a row (I'm 37 weeks) they encouraged me to go in if I noticed any change in movement, they said even if I was there everyday they would be more than happy to check baby is fine. They gave me a scan yesterday and thank God my baby is fine! It's so scary isn't it! And please don't listen to people who tell you that baby is 'running out of room' yes they have less room but you will still feel movements within your babys usual routine, the types of movement will change towards the end, you will feel more rolls, pushing, elbows etc instead of the usual kicks. Please do get checked if your worried!

Amount of Movement does NOT decrease! The types of movement changes. Please inform yourself by going to countthekicks.org
the information they give us about counting kicks in North America is outdated and can be dangerously wrong.

I find it easier to lay on my back and watch movements. I also have an anterior placenta.

At 35 weeks baby is running out of room so they tend to decrease movement a little.
