prayers..

Today I found out the gender of my baby. Its a boy!! But there are problems.. His bladder is the size of his head. Which can cause complications with his lungs and kydneys. He also has a high chance for a really rare disease, called trisomy 18. If that's the case he won't live to be a year old. He could die at any moment if he has this disease. Please pray for me and my little family. I can always use the extra voices. Thank you.

I had a trisomy 13 baby. She lives yo be a month old and passed away in my arms. Like someone mentioned I would get a blood test done. Cause its always better to mentally prepare yourself for it. For me it was a surprise at her birth. I had no idea what trisomies were until I had her. I'm sending you lots of prayers

Unfortunately, Trisomy 18 is more common than you think. It is a chromosome abnormality that, in most cases, is usually incompatible with life. My first baby girl passed away at 32 weeks gestation due to that condition. I suggest getting that special blood test done so you can know for sure, that way you can prepare yourself. Sadly, that test wasn't available when I was pregnant with my first, and from the time I found out something was wrong til the time she died was less than a week, so I had very little time to mentally and emotionally prepare myself. Just remember, whatever happens, it's not your fault.
