do i need to wash my babys New clothes?

So i had a babyshower yesterday and i got lots of clothes towels socks and everything, i knew i had to wash all the stuff that were used by another baby before but im not sure about the new things that come from the store. Do any of yall know if i have to wash all the new stuff? Even towels socks ande everything?
Im just scared i dont need to and then ill just be ruining everything

Yes because at the store people will touch everything and everyone has germs on their hands and like the other ladies said

Yes, wash it. Check the labels for instructions and if something feels to fragile hand wash it.

Wash it just to be safe. The manufacturers use a kind of starchy chemical to make them look so nice after production. You can even smell it in the fabric. You wont be ruining the clothes even if they haven't got any chemicals you can smell I'd still do it to be safe with a gentle soap like lux flakes or something coz you never know if your baby has any kind of allergies.
