Can you sign off on child support for father and still get tanf? We may not be living together when baby is born.
no child support no assistance. relationship or not. at least where i live in illinois
I'm in CA. In this state if you are on any assistance or trying to get on assistance they automatically want you to sign documents so they can pursue child support for you.
If you don't sign the papers to take him to child support court they will stop all your assistance.

You will have to look into your States laws. Each state is different. For example where I live if you file for any type of assistance, the state automatically goes after the father for child support if you aren't in a relationship. Go to your states government website and you should be able to find some information.
