As long as it's not daily .. I heard a beer will help produce more brestmilk if your planning on breastfeeding . I crave a beer every once in awhile but I feel bad to drink one I just take a sip and spit it out lol just the taste in my mouth can satisfy me .

There's mixed reviews on whether having an occasional beer or wine is okay.  Some docs well even say it's fine as there's no hard evidence either way.  Women in other countries don't have the same restrictions and they don't have an increase in birth defects. However there's no specific numbers on what's a safe amount either so to me is better to be cautious. I'm sure one drink here or there isn't damaging, but regular drinking isn't advised by anyone anywhere.  To the OP,  if you are having trouble not drinking you may consider talking to your doctor about getting some help.
