Not only is it an unnecessary amount of calories, sugar, and carbs, a friend of mine who just had her baby drank Monster java daily, and her husband drank Redbull daily, and it ended up making them fail the mandatory hospital drug test for methamphetamines after she had the baby!(they automatically screen all new mothers) If it can make you do that, there's no telling what else it can do to your body.

Energy drinks have written on them not for pregnant or lactating women.
I was finding it hard to find energy but have found berocca helps. It doesnt contain caffeine and is not harmful to baby

No energy drinks. I drink coffee still and coke when I feel like it. Have with my other two pregnancies too. One was high risk with twins and guess what...they are fine... =)

Energy drinks are a big no-no. Caffeine in moderation (like coffee, soda, chocolate, etc) is fine during pregnancy. Most drs recommend a daily limit of about 200mg. Energy drinks though contain several other ingredients such as ginseng, taurine, and guarana which are considered unsafe for use in pregnancy.

I drink water time to time, it makes my stomach upset with no flavor in it. I started drinking cranberry juice since the dr said i couldn't drink a lot of soda.

Caffeine isn't good for the baby especially in the first trimester it can cause you to have a miscarriage I don't drink anything with caffeine try having nuts or fruit nuts especially give you energy or if you are able just take a nap

No to energy drinks. It's not just the caffeine content in them that is an issue, they're often very high in sugar and contain other additives that are less than ideal. 1 cup of coffee is ok.

Watch the caffeine...I've read you should limit it  (caffeine intake) to one 6oz cup of coffee daily if that much.

A new study recommends that women have no caffeine at all during pregnancy. I wouldn't recommend it. Nap if and when you can. It'll get better.
