epidural or water birth?

I know numbing the pain would be nice but I'm not looking forward to the catheter. I feel like I'll end up having bladder problems probably an infection. With water birth I can control how I sit I assume, and the water can Help left the pressure off of me. I want the most natural position possible in giving birth. I heard the squatting position is most natural. And ideas, comments?

I want a water birth. Apparently it decreases the probability of further intervention. Because its a great natural pain relief. I went drug free with my first and the shower was my best friend.

Everyone is different though. Some women hate it..... I'm not aloud to birth in the bath because I am just over the weight allowed...

Which totally sux coz other than that I have no risk factors.. perfect Bp. Daily exercise ect ect. Last birth was drug free...

Good luck choosing.
I wish I could just refuse to get out of the bath.. lol. What would they do?? Lol.

I had a water birth with my second I started off on my hands and knees and when I got one of my "push" contractions I pushed with it and my water broke. After my water broke the assistant midwife was trying to get the heartbeat but she couldn't because baby was hiding behind my pubic bone so I had to move into a different position so she didn't end up in the pool with me. So I ended up with my but floating in the water almost touching the bottom and my legs did their own thing (dislocated). But I wanna try the squatting position with this baby.

Not So sure of water birth either.  But I had an epidural with my first and It went fine. I didn't feel The catheter going in Or coming out and No problems afterwards. I got It with my second Who Is now a week and 2 days old and again didn't feel It going in Or out. Right now I feel a little Bit of burning When I pee But It's not terrible and I actually think It's more of The pads I'm using irritating down there Then having to do with The catheter Because It Just started a few days ago. Going to drink alot of cranberry juice and water to see If It helps. Depending on how bad u are with pain You will possibly decide on an epidural as Ur contractions get stronger. That relief of pain Is amazing once It Gets put in. But If u can handle pain very Well Then You may be able to go without It and have a successful waterbirth. Good luck either way!!

Never had a water birth, but did have epidural, at first i was allowed to have a bed pan and pee over and into it, but later the nurse was convinced i had a full bladder and babys head wouldnt pass it and forced me to get a catheter. I hated it, they couldnt get it in, i begged for them to stop, and once they got it in my body started trying to push it out against my will and then the nurse ended up taking it out, bag empty. Still to this day think it hurt my urethra or the way i pee, and i sometimes leak.
