doctors every 2 weeks !?

What do they start doing when you have to go to the doctors every 2 weeks ? I have a appointment today and after today I'll have too start going every 2 weeks. I'm scared because I know it's getting closer to time. I'm a first time mommy and I'm really really nervous but excited at the same time. Someone please explain the hole thing to me PLEASE :)

They want to check your blood pressure more often to see if it's rising, which would be harmful to you and the baby. They also want to monitor your urine for protein, which could be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Also harmful for you both. They don't usually do a vaginal exam unless you're having contractions or other signs that labor is happening. In the very last couple of weeks the doctor may check your cervix to see if your cervix is beginning to thin and dilate. This is all normal. Try to relax, even though I know that's difficult to do.

I'm not sure . why do you go every 2 weeks if your only 16 weeks ? I went every month when I was at that mark. Lol

I've always been seen every 2 weeks at the 30 week mark. Then every week at the 36 week mark.

I go every two weeks and it's the same as the monthly. Check urine, weight, blood pressure measure tummy size and listen to baby heart rate. Once a week they usually do pelvic exams to see if you are dilating or if your cervix is thinning plus all the usual. Sometime within the weekly visit the do a pap smear and a booty hole swipe to see if there are any infections to clear up before delivery. Don't worry. Our bodies are prepared for this. It's our mind that some us out. 4th time mom and I still get nervous.

So ur appts are going to be every 2 weeks which means ur due date is in march or april the every 2 weeks check is just to make sure ur pregnancy is ok from this on just because in ur last trimester anything could happen so by the doctor checking up on u more often it could let them know how ur baby n u r doing. And than by the last month they will check u every week to check dilation n cervix n what not.

I had a normal one at 33 weeks (the one before was a month) then I got seen 2 weeks later. I'm now 37 weeks and get seen weekly.
