Dakota and peyton are actually gender neutral names where as austin is specifically boy sounding. Its always gonna be urs and ur partners decision but maybe consider both being gender neutral rather than a very girly and a very boy name. Congrats on the twins and goodluck

I think you and your husband need to go with what names make you happy. Sometimes it's nice hearing other people's opinions, however nobody can make the decision for your childrens names. My friends and family are very judgemental and this is why we are keeping our boys name a secret until he is born and then it doesn't matter at all what anybody else thinks!

I think Austin is more of a boys name. I do like Peyton or Dakota as girls names though, peyton has become pretty popular. If you are looking for something similiar to Austin though how about Ashlyn or Ayla?

I like the name Austin for a girl alot but I also agree that with the twin being named Hayley that they will sound like boy/girl twins.

While Austin is primarily a boys name, if you like it you should keep it. Hayley is pretty girly. I think if you're going to go with Austin you should go with a more gender neutral name or do the same with Austin.

If you like it, then keep it. But I would worry about what she would think when she gets older. Like "Why did I get the boyish name had Hayley didn't?" Just something to consider
