I had a scan at 34 weeks so had to lie on my back and my little girl pressed on this vein and it caused me to pass out! The doctors said this is common and yo7 shouldn't lie on your back.
My baby kicks like crazy as soon as I lie on my side, I think it's cos she has more room so can move about more. Also when you lie down you are more focused on baby kicking you, he/she might be kicking away all day but because you are busy you may not notice as much.

There's a vein or something that is on the right of your spine and it supplies baby with oxygen and after 20 weeks the baby + uterus is heavy enough to push down and compress it so after a while your baby isn't getting enough oxygen but when it gets bad they say you will start feeling dizzy too or something.

You're not supposed to sleep on your back after 20 weeks or lay on your back for long periods of time. On your sides the baby is getting the most oxygen and room to move
