boyfriends family and my family are opposites ..

So my parents nor any of my family have ever met my boyfriends family and we are expecting a baby in feb. I am unsure what to do for a baby shower. My boyfriends family are the always know whats best, upper class type of people and my family are the play too much, obnoxious, lower class type of people. I want to have a nice baby shower but dont know what to do about this. It worries me. Advice anyone ?

Your family might surprise you, in a good way. Even though you may see the "rough around the edges" side of your family, in specific social situations where "polite manners" are expected, often times people who are normally not known for their proper etiquette, actually adopt a very refined affect. Even if they don't, you will probably find it way less terrifying than you think. You'll see;). Take care.

My parents have met my boyfriend and they love him. Im worried about my parents meeting his parents. My parents cuss and are a little crazy i must admit and his are a bit uptight and dont cuss much at all. I live at his parents house and they still haven't met but i don't think my parents care much for them or have any interest meeting them ... I dont think his parents have must interest in meeting my parents either....
