Ive never gotten the flu shot,  ive always just let my immune system fight off getting sick. My doctor is actually not for the flu shot.. but for me having an autoimmune disease and being pregnant, hes encouraged me to get it. I got the flu last pregnancy in 2012 and I kept having false labor, it was terrible. Your injecting the dead virus.. its a personal preference on getting it. Good luck

My doc wants me to get it since it will help protect the baby more during flu season. I much rather get sick with a cold or whatever than have my newborn get sick with the flu and have her lungs get infected. She said if I get the flu while pregnant it can cause preterm labor. It does weaken your immune system for a week before you're fully protected.

I am. It will help you build antibodies to it which will transfer and help protect baby from getting sick

I personally refuse to because in the past it has weekend my immune system enough for me to get sick even if it's just a cold. And I don't want to be sick when I have my son in 6 weeks. I also have really bad allergies during flu season.
