folic acid ?!

Is it really necessary for me to take folic acid tablets ???

I started taking folic acid two months before I conceived and am still taking that and prenatals. If you are out not worried about birth defects taking them won't hurt..

My sister didnt take any and she had a spina bif little girl. I would recommend.

If your prenatals  have it and you are consuming a diet rich in it, you only need the tablets if your doctor has advised it.

As mother of a little boy with spina bifida I would advise u to take them regardless of whats in ur prenatal vitamins it is v v nessasarry x

If your doctor said so then yes. Your doctor  may have identified a higher risk for birth defects and want you to take them.

No. Just take your prenatals, that has everything you need aside from Iron, which Dr. will usually prescribe. Folic is in the prenatals.
