freaked about possibility of twins

Im 37 on fourth pregnancy. 11 yr old 9 yr old one miscarriage. Roughly around 8 weeks. I dont ever remember having this much morning sickness. Maybe its my age but im scared i may be xarrying twins. My husband is a twin his dad is a twin his dad has two sets of twin siblings and his mom has a set of twin siblings. Not that i wouldnt mind but with one baby i was absolutely huge. Just a lil freaked out is all. First ultrasound on the 27th.

Yes and my husband is an identical twin. Either way all i wish for is happy healthy baby. I have an ultrasound next week.

@19jellybean, that's not necessarily true. Fraternal twinning is because of ovulating more than one egg which would strictly be a women's genetics/individual hormones. Identical twinning is the split of one egg before or after fertilization. If after, it could be because of daddy's genetics! Personally, I think twins would be wonderful and well worth the discomfort:)

Dont worry God wont give u more then u can't handle! Everything is for a reason! I have heard multiple women have a miscarriage and then have a beautiful full pregnancy after! Keep positive:)

The only way you could possibly have twins, is if their are twins on your mums side of the family. Twins come from the mothers side of the family, not the fathers! I don't think your carrying twins. In my first trimester, i had pretty bad morning sickness and i'm only carrying one baby.

Thanks. Ya i need to curb my cravings i crave everything and try to just have a few healthy snacks between meals. Twins would be scary for me at my age having already had two c sections. My youngest was 8 12 and two weeks early due to scheduled c section. And of course im freaked if i even get cramps bc of my miscarriage almost a year ago. I was very traumatized and try not to stress too much about the possibility of having another miscarraige as the percentage increases w age. One more week til ultrasound so i hope all is well.

I will be okay! You cld possibly be bigger with twins but just stay positive:) maybe make a meal plan to help keep count of your calories and nutrients if your rly worried abt getting too big! It wld be pretty cool to have twins! Good luck!:)
