Sex also helps the baby; it increases blood flow to the area and baby. Read that on webMD last week!
I'm going through the same thing. This is my second child and our first together. I explained to him that the baby is well protected and will now get hurt, but he still doesn't believe me. He says "you can't be sure, and I don't want to hurt her" I'm 6 months now and all though he has always showed me affection in other ways and still does by cuddling and just being there all the time the romance is still need. What's a girl to do lol
Explain.. have him ask the doctor or have him read articles about not being able to hurt the baby.. especially at this stage. Your relationship will suffer. Sex is important. It expresses your feelings for one another. And when you get to 7,8,9 months .. it becomes very difficult. You may feel like. Something is between you two lol .. literally. Some guys feel weird about it .. make him feel good.. make him forget. Us women are good at that ;)
