Avoid dairy products and drink warm/hot water with lemon and honey in it. Dairy products increase the mucus build up.
It safer to sweat it out but if you can't ask your doctor or the pharmacist they would know
Ginger and lemon is a natural remedy with tea with no caffeine helps melt and knock out mucus and congestion!.
I got cold/flu with my first pregnancy and used Tylenol cold/flu. They may have it for just colds. Either way the Tylenol brand is safe. Hope you feel better! (:
