I agree with the other comments saying wait till you see what a she looks like. We had 2 names Picked out for our son and decided once he was born. And now that he is 1yr old I can't even imagine if we had given him another name. :)

So a lot of the obvious has been stated. But seriously, we all know kids of ALL ages can be ********. Keep in mind that when she's older, there will be bullies. And middle school or high school age kids could easily use the name Bo against her. Example: Bo is a ho.

NOT saying your kid will be bullied or a ho, but that is Def something to keep in mind.

And I too have a tendency to lean towards unique or uncommon names. My oldest is Felix Oliver, and this one was going to be Tennessee Nikolai but that is now being changed unfortunately. But I have to agree, use Bo as a nickname.

I have a friend named Bobbie which is the girl version of Bobby. But Bo would be a good nickname, not a name though.

It's good for a nickname.  She going have problems in school with other kids. Keep that in mind.

All children may be beautiful to us but kids will be kids to one another. I am NOT an awful person for stating the obvious. It is definitely something worth considering.

But bo is cute! I used to know a girl named Bobby, and she was adorable!! Bo would be a good nickname for that. Just a suggestion. :)

If you both agree and like it then that's all that matters :)

Personally I love it, but i like unusual names. My daughter is going to be named Texas. Oh and it doesnt matter how she "looks" as the other commenter suggested. Beauty has a lot to do with confidence. If you raise her to be confident in herself then the name shouldn't be a worry:)

This is really not a great way for him to start off on parenting - by naming a child an unusual (and usually different gender name) and "not budging".  There are a LOT of parenting decisions you will have to make together,  and he'll somehow have to come up with ability to "budge" and compromise.

Here's the deal.  If she's gorgeous and confident,  Bo is a fine name.  If she's shy,  and less attractive,  Bo might be just the curse that will make her life miserable.

I say no to Bo except as a nickname.  Like,  her name is Elaina but we call her Bo.  Or,  maybe only he can call her Bo.

Its an older fashioned name but Isabeau, or Isabo, and Bo for short. She may have issues with people calling her Isabelle. I love bo though

Personally, I think maybe go with a name where 'Bo' is a nickname. Because if bub grows up and doesn't like Bo as a name, they can't really change it to be called by a nickname. Where as if you choose a name where 'Bo' would be the nickname, then when bub is older, they'll have an option of what name they'd rather be called :)
I don't have anything against the name, I think its cute. But my name is Laura and for a few years (late primary days) I wasn't a fan of my name but couldn't shorten it to anything that I did like because of the lack of possibility to shorten lol
