girls name Esme (twilight) ? :/

Hi there, I would really love the name Esme if we have a little girl, my partner on the other hand likes it but thinks it refers to the twilight books/films too much. I'm not too bothard as Esme was only a small character and not one of the main ones, I just dislike the idea of people questioning me about this. I really don't want to be put off from using this name just because of others. Has anyone been in a similar situation or could share some views, thanks x

My name came from a book my mom read. Nobody asks me if my name came from a book. Twilight is already in the past. Use the name if you love it.

Honestly, I think of twilight. But really if you like the name then that's all that matters. And by the time the kid is older hopefully the reference will be forgotten.

Thanks for the replies, it's good to know that not everybody will relate the name to it, as I have learned it originated from France

I like the name. In Spanish Esme is short for the name Esmeralda which I think is beautiful. Btw im not a twilight fan and don't think you should limit yourself for names that u love
