What should i expect at my glucose test? Also what kind of food can i eat before i go? My dr just told me to watch out for sugary foods. I have to go in early.

Thanks ladies im kinda nervous bc there is a good chance i have diabetis bc it runs in my family and i have gained so much weight with this pregnancy. My dr told me it was fine cuz i was underweight to begin with but i dnt think gaining the weight like i have all at once is very healthy either.

I did mine yesterday
My ob told me not to eat nothing sweet from midnight
I had the apointment at 9am
He said if i m really hungry to boil an egg or two
And the drink wasnt bad
It was just like soda
You have 5min to drink it and than after an hour they take your blood
And i made my husband bring me to have breakfast
I ate so much sweet :)

You will need to fast befor taking the test, nothing to eat or drink before except water. The test will also take an hr so let them know right away so they can start on the time. Might wanna take something to read or do. Good luck!
