glucose test?

So everyone has told me that they are doing my glucose test way to soon. I'm almost 8 weeks along and I go tomorrow for my test. Is there a certain time they do it that is a lot farther along?

I had my first one around 8 weeks too. Nothing to worry about they just want to see your base line. My next test is at 29 weeks :)

They will do it early if they suspect you already have diabetes. But its usually done around 24 to 28 weeks.

I agree with Kelli83 between weeks 24-28 I had mine done at 24 weeks.  you should ask If there is a reason why  they are doing it so early.  Good luck.

I have to do it twice.  My Dr's office had me do it around the end of my fiat trimester and end of 2nd trimester because I have pcos, which puts me at a higher risk of gestational diabetes. I did it for both of my pregnancies.  Most times you only do it later,if you are only going to do it once.
