Mine was clear pure sugar, couldnt even sip water, and was told not to eat 2hours before test, i couldnt wait for my hour to be up so i could drink water ugh gross

I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything but sips of water until after they drew blood...but I also failed both the 1 hour and the 3 hour. Karleerose is right, gestational diabetes isn't fun at all.

I didnt have to fast this second pregnancy. but my dr told me to not eat a lot so it wont screw up the test results. While you wait that hour you cant eat or drink or raise your heart rate. Just sit and relax

You dont fast for the one hour.... its gross. .. but I had gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy and its not fun.... you doctor will tell you what to do

You go into the lab and you can't eat or drink anything for the last 10-12 hours except small sips of water (do it early in the morning if possible) they give you this sugary drink (taste kinda like orange soda pop) that you have to drink within 5 minutes then you wait an hour then they draw some blood. It's done to make sure your blood sugar levels are at a normal range and that you don't have gestational diabetes.
