post partum while pregnant?

Okay I have a 6 month old son and I have dealt with post partum ever since I had him. I just found out I am 8 weeks pregnant with our second baby. Clearly back to back. Can post partum get worse with the hormone change of being pregnant?  Or is it just hormones again....? Anyone had this issue?

I didn't have post partum with my first and definitely felt down during the first few months of being pregnant with my second..
I'd say it's somewhat normal with the hormones and to be a little overwhelmed thinking about life with 2 young children

Thanks for all the comments ladies. I appreciate every one of them. I choose not to take my meds because I'm already high risk pregnancy.  I also am a Christian and turn to God every day with each one of these issues. God is good. But hasn't seen fit to help out with this situation yet. Post partum is horrible to go through. I'm also so sorry for your loss. Congrats on all the children.

I took Zoloft back in 2004 when I was 16 with my first and in that month I took it it gave my baby a heart defect I pushed him out at 8 months he was 7lbs and he was a stillborn since then I haven't had postpartum or prepostpartum I received Jesus in my heart and had 3 more kids after that and currently 3 months     pregnant with another I'm so happy I have all this love God is the one who made you and is the one that can fix you.

Please talk to your doctor about this. Taking antidepressants while pregnant has been known to cause birth defects. The doctor can work with you and help you out during this time.

If you don't mind me asking, is there a specific reason you can't take your medication for depression? Because most doctors would recommend you continue to take your depression medicine because sometimes it can be worse to go without it. I would definitely talk to your doctor about a pregnancy friendly medication. I currently take Zoloft for anxiety/depression and it seems to be better for me to be on it than off.

Exactly what it feels like I have so many mixed feelings about #2 coming so soon they will only be 14 months apart. That's insaine. Like my mind is blown. And now I can't even take my meds for depression.  I don't know what to do. Like I'm legit emotionally unstable. And sick allllllllll the time.

Hmmm you never know it can be a combination of both.  I know I struggled with depression due to all the hormonal changes in my first trimester. I can only imagine how you feel. Kinda like a double yammy with hormones...
