Anyone else not having a baby shower?

This is my first pregnancy and I am not having a baby shower and just wondering if there is anyone else who is not having a baby shower?

I'm not getting one this pregnancy instead I'm buying her clothes mostly use but some new like going home outfit   they grow so fast they use it once or twice if its new thats what happen to my first baby when I had a baby shower this is baby #2

My mom is throwing a GRANDbaby shower with all her friends because I dont have any friends lol. It will probably just be a small thing but I am sure it will be fun and nice to get a couple of gifts!

Im not having one either. I really want one since this is my first pregnancy,  but due to financial issues & my mom's breast cancer coming back I wont be having one. But at least friends have tried to help me with getting her some baby items

I didn't have one. The same reason a as many people. I dont have many relatives close by. I was able to get everything I needed for the baby without getting gifts from friends. The bassinet,
swing, and carseat/strollerI got from craiglist in very good condition. A few clothes are hand-me downs, but everything else I bought brand knew or did DIY projects.

I didn't have a baby shower with my first born, and i wont be having one with this bubs either hun.

this is my 6th baby and ive never had a baby shower... if anyone wanted to give me something for the baby they would at the hospital or stop by the house but other then that i didnt do one

When I had my baby shower, I was shocked when my friend from China, told me she didn't want to go because in her culture, they only give gifts and visit after baby is born.  She kinda hinted it's because then they know baby is fine once here. I respected that. But yes, I did have one with it being my first. Why not?! I love hosting parties and a nice get together with friends and family was the best! I got so much gifts to help me get started. Literally, We only had to buy the crib, car seat and baby formula. Saved us tons of money. the only thing is that I wanted a small gathering while my sister invited over 100 people. All close friends and family of course. Basically everyone from my wedding. We had a blast! However now that the baby is here, people want to come by and visit. My sister wants something big, but I prefer something small. Mostly for baby's sake. Don't want all those germs. Also small intimate settings are better for a visit, so I don't feel overwhelmed. So in my opinion baby shower or not, do what you feel is best for you!

I didn't have one only because I was given everything from people in my family ( hand me downs ) I went and bought a few things just for the fun of it like clothes and new cot sets, decorations for the room like a lamp and rug etc.. I have everything I need as my children are the youngest so I get everything after the older children are done. I think it's a fun idea though it brings everyone together and you get things which helps financially I think it's personal choice but doesn't matter if you have one or not doesn't make it any less exciting of a new baby coming into the world :D

I'm not having one and it's kinda sad cause I've seen two showers in my buildings community room but me and my son will be just fine.  I don't know anyone in this state who will throw me one but on the other hand my good friend said once the baby is born she will have me one with strangers. I love my friend.

I have never had one and im now having my forth baby its not that no one has ever wanted to help me throw one its just I never wanted to have one I don't see the point when my friends and family always give baby gifts when a baby is born so why have them buy two.

Its my first pregnancy to and i wasnt thinking of a baby but then i thought i might have a friends gathering.  Its my first and im so excited so i feel like it would be nice to have loved ones around me. Then a may do a family one separate

Im not. My friends planned one for my first baby but it came early and was prem so people just dropped by when it was a couple of months old. And with this one, well where I am you usually only have a baby shower for your first baby.

I have plans to have one since I wanted to have one with my first child but in france it's not done.
I have a friend that wants to host one for me but we'll see what happens.

Im not. I dont know too many people. I might have an all day party. Have people come by and say hi and drop off a gift if they so please or just drop by and catch up. Most of my family and friends are busy bees :)

I'm not. My family are all in different states so I couldn't. My husband and I bought everything aside from a few blankets and clothes.

Im not really sure if iam . Im not really into having a babyshower but since it's my first baby and my parents first granddaughter everyone wants me to have one. Im not really into it, because honestly I don't like having all the attention on me.

I'm not having a baby shower. But thats because in my culture 40 days after the baby's born everyone comes and puts money under the baby's pillow. :)
