heart Rate

Has anyone noticed an increase in their heart rate while pregnant? Ive noticed an increase in my heart rate in the last couple day. I do suffer from anxiety but I have no other symptoms which would make me pin point it to anxiety. Im also doing progesterone injections. If anyone has any input on this is would be much appreciated.

I practice the deep breathing quite often and participate in yoga. I do notice when my heart rate is elevated I tend to focus on it big time. Thats anxiety kicking in but I have yet to let it turn into a full blown panic attack.  Im one who hold in all the feeling and I know that just makes everything worse. Im going to try the journal like you suggested.

I have anxiety and panic disorder. I've talked to my psychologist along with my obgyn and it could be a little of both in my case. Its normal to have an increased heart rate while pregnant because of the additional blood flowand oxygen going to the baby. But if your getting upset nervous or scared because your noticing it and your paying a lot of attention to it that can make it beat faster due to your anxiety. And yes my anxiety has become a lot worse while pregnant. Partly due to stopping most of my medicines. Meditation and just deep breathing exercises help a little. Writing down in a journal how you feel also helps.

I get panic attacks a lot easier than I used to. My counselor thinks it's from the hormones and me being even more emotional than usual.

Thank you for your comment. I kinda thought that might be the case. If you dont mind me asking, have you noticed a change in your anxiety since becoming pregnant?

I suffer from anxiety as well.  My doctor and counselor both say that my increased heart rate is not relayed to my anxiety. My doctor said increased heart rate is due to an increases of needed blood to help bring oxygen and nutrients to the baby.
