I personally wouldn't just because of the fact even when its on a low setting it can still make you get super warm while you're sleeping.
Y not? You aren't applying it directly to the baby. It's on low just to keep you warm. Enjoy it!
Correct, you're not applying it directly, but it doesn't have to do with direct heat...its about core body temperature. The same reason hot tubs aren't recommended. .

I live in montana. I have used a heated blanket. I put it under me then add another semi thin blanket over that. And lay on top. That way in not encased in the heat but it is just enough to stay comfortable.
