I struggle with this too. The thing that helps me the most is raisin bran and prunes. I eat prunes everyday now and get teased for eating old lady food but hey at least I get relief.
Veggies. My doc gave me suppositories but I never used them. Lots of water and veggies always helps me.
I was having the Same issue and I went a entire week without going to the bathroom so I called my doctor and they said it's okay to take milk of magnesia but no other laxatives. Drink prune juice, apple juice, eat lots of fiber!
