hopefully real contractions

This is my second pregnancy. With my first I had to be induced because of my water leaking. Earlier today I believe I lost part or all of my mucus plug. Now when I lay down the contractions are almost constant but when I stand up and walk around they go away. I know they aren't braxtons because they're really low like menstrual cramps. The doctors won't be open till 8am tomorrow. Opinons?

I would just hate to waste à trip up there because the hospital is almost an hour away.

Can you call the labor and delivery section and ask them? There is somebody there all the time so they should be able to tell you if you should come in or not.

I will be 38 weeks this Friday. They completely disappear when I walk around which is the only reason I'm hesitating about going in.

Walk around to get things moving faster and if there really close together and painful go to the er. That's what they told us in our birthing class. How many weeks are you?  I get those cramps too and horrible lower back pain. I'll be 36 weeks on Sunday
