high blood pressure after labour

Hi.. has anyone suffered either high blood pressure after labour and does anyone no why?keep being sent in and out of Hosp with it and don't really get any answers. Thank you. Xxx       I went thru labour with only one dose of pathadine.. when mw pulled my placenta out it cause a tear leading me having to have a spinal block and surgery. The spinal block went to high and I wasn't able to cough etc or eat and so on for a few hrs. Went home next day. Re admitted due to painful head aches.put on drip and then was fine. BP ok. The next day mw come out done BP and it was 158/104 so got admitted and it was fluctuating and wouldn't go lower so now on meds. Not sure if above any help or can be a reason of high blood pressure... x

Yeah my BP isn't dropping just wouldn't go under the 90 mark. I'm now on meds and so far the highest it's gone is 88.. being checked every 2 days by mw. I've been tested for pre eclampsia also and that was negative. I've had bloods urine samples al sorts . X

You might have an infection from your operation. I did after my emergency c section. And my BP has high I felt like I was being sat on. My stats drop from 100 to 64 when I walked. They might just keeping an eye on you to make sure it's not what I had. I was given iv antibiotics every two hour and was find after 2 days
