how long after you lost your mucus plug

Did you go in labor? I didn't lose it with my son and was overdue and induced with him, but I lost it on Saturday with this one and have 35 days to go.

I've been in the ER twice this week because I've been so sick, they havent checked to see if I was dilated. I was having mild contractions but we were dehydrated and after they did iv on me they went down.

I am only 21 weeks and this is my pregnancy so I personally have not gone through that yet, however; one of my friends who just had her baby 3 weeks ago lost her mucus plug about 2 weeks maybe 2 and a half before she went into labor. She was also about a month out from her due date. The doctors told her with the contractions she started having and with her losing her mucus plug she looked like it could be "any day now". She started to dilate at the end of the first week after her mucus plug started. She ended up needing to be induced because nothing progressed BUT I believe normally its anywhere from a week to 2 weeks before most women go into labor. If you just started I would call your doctor so they can check you soon. Good luck!
