how young?

Are kids having sex now. I really want to know. I'm not saying anything bad. Im asking solely for education purposes. J have a daughter n another on the way. n i would like to know when is too early or too late to have that talk.
My brothers are sixteen (triplets) but neither are having sex but i have people telling me they started at 13......please don't take this post the wrong way.
I'm legit curious.

My mom never had that talk with me. I believe I went to my older sister for advice. She was 7yrs older & moved out by that time. My parents were over protective & I didn't really ask to anything because I felt I knew the answer.  But, my first bf was someone I took my time with getting to know we were sweethearts in high school & he was my love. I still think he was the best lover ever,  he was def not built life a 17yr old then lol ;) (I'd never tell my hubby that) I want to have the sex convo with my kids the summer before 6th grade,  & have an open relationship with them,  hopefully they'll feel like they can always talk to me. All we can do as mothers is pray, instill morals & character & try to stay as involved in our kids life as we can.

I lost mine at 12, I let friends (who were sexually active) pressure me into it. I've always regretted not waiting. The first time I had sex after I felt ready to I was 17. I'm planning on telling my daughters this, in hopes that they will learn  from my mistakes

I'm not saying you won't have sex young if you have a mother who doesn't smother you I'm just saying I've seen if first hand that those that do smother tend to have more problems and more rebellious children

But that's the thing , she wasn't over protective either ! There were very few things I wasn't allowed to do . But it was just that one thing that I didn't want to try to respect .

I just couldn't imagine kids having sex any younger. I thought 12/13 was normal. 11. I'm pretty sure I was still playing barbies at 11

Kids are honestly having sex as young as 11. It's crazy but true. My little sis waited till 17 and so did I (23 now) but we were getting the talk in 5th grade by our mom and it was hard core I guess so we would be aware of what to look for and all the signs that meant they have a disease!!! But it's all about communication and trust. My sis and I both knew when we were comfortable and even tho our mom annoyed us we still listened lol.

i was 15 when i lost my virginity but my mom found out and i promised her i wouldnt.do it again didnt have sex again.till i was 17 my mo stayed opem with me i just had my first child at 25

Lol I'm sorry ! My mom was the least smothering mother I know but she was very set in her ways . If she thought I was too young for something , I was too young && that's that . She didn't want to hear how I felt . Really all I wanted to do was go to my boyfriends birthday party && she wouldn't let me . I felt like we couldn't get to know each other in school since he was older than me && in different classes . Sex never crossed my mind but he came onto me && I didn't say no . I knew I wasn't ready when it happened . Being a mom , I understand where she came from but in all honesty , if she would of let me see him outside school , supervised , I wouldn't of felt the need to sneak out && I wouldn't of had sex .

I really hope my daugther will wait. I plan on being open with her about it. I got pregnant at 17 had my daugther at 18. I couldn't imagine having a child any younger. It was and is hard. I finished high school before she was born but an now just starting college.

N i agree with Olivia to. I'm just one of those people that don't wasn't my kids head in a bubble, i want them very smart n well educated. But i don't wasn't too hurt their innocence, God thus parenting stuff its harder than i thought.

I lost my virginity at 13, got pregnant at 16 and married at 18 and I'm pregnant with my second right now and I'm 18 years old!

Depends on the girls personality and who she's around really!

&& the smothering thing isn't true . My mom was very open with me about sex && we talked about it anytime I had a question . She always told me sex was a beautiful thing that 2 people share when they're in love but its always best to wait . Well I got my first boyfriend my freshman year of high school my mom wouldn't let me hang out with him outside of school because she thought I was too young but being 14 && a know it all teenager , I thought I was ready for a relationship . so I snuck out to see him . That's when it happened .

I was 17 when I lost my virginity. I wish I would have waited. But I pray if I have a daughter she's smart enough to wait. If she comes to me at 11 asking about sex.. Lord. I have no clue how I would react.

Kids unfortunately talk to each other too much about sex. They will pass on bad information so I think its best to talk to your child early before they get info from another source.
