Hi all.I'm 14weeks. I'm having terrible headache last days. Can't even move my eyes. Can I take nurofen or iboprofen(any painrelief tablets) now? What would you recommend?

There are concerns with ibuprofen use and an increased risk for facial abnormalities, such as cleft lip, and congenital heart defects. If your Dr suggests you take it then that's fine, but I wouldn't take it unless under supervision from your physician. There is a small window where is may be considered safe but it's best to let your Dr make that decision.

My doctor told me I could take ibuprofen during the 2nd trimester because tylenol wasn't helping with my headaches. Call your doctor and see what they tell. In fact I was approved for all types of pain relievers. My doctor is one of the best ob's in the country and I don't think he would tell me wrong. Just call yours and see.

Ibuprofen (and all NSAIDs) are a big no go during pregnancy (with the occasional exception of aspirin for certain medical conditions, and only under direction of a physician).... Tylenol (acetaminophen) is really the only thing you can take.
