Movement

Hi everyone this is my second pregnancy and I am 18weeks, but I feel no movement...everyone says with the second one you feel the baby move sooner but I haven't felt anything. Could something be wrong? Or is there something I can do or eat to make the baby move? I just want to know everything is okay :(

I found this site completely by accident, it talks about having an Ashworth anterior placenta  (in the front) and how it makes finding the heartbeat more difficult and hides baby movement:

My sister is a labor and delivery nurse so when she saw my sonogram pics, she told me where the Placenta was.   You can always ask.

This is my 4th baby and this time I didn't feel his movements until I was 20/21 weeks im 36 weeks now but with my three girls I felt them much sooner. So that whole second pregnancy feel it sooner stuff isn't all that true!

This is my second baby and once again the placenta is on the front so I have a hard time feeling him. I have never been told that the placenta position affects finding the heartbeat, but they do have to really search for it. It always makes me a little worried for the minute or two it takes to find it!

If your baby has a strong heartbeat,  it's moving around a lot and you just don't feel it.

How did you know if your placenta was in the front?
It might be for me too because the two times they have tried looking for the babies heartbeat they always take a long time to find it does that mean maybe the placenta is in the front?

You'll feel the baby eventually,  don't worry, especially if your doc is saying everything is fine and the baby is growing.  With my first, my placenta was in the front which muffled her movement,  it was really hard to feel her until she was strong enough to feel in the outside!   Maybe your placenta is in the front?
