I have been induced with all my kids, 3 times to be exact. I dunno if it is just because my body refuses to go into natural labor or what, but I have never thought anything about being induced hurting more then natural. I assumed it always felt the same regardless. Maybe I was wrong? Even when induced, it took a while to get to the real labor pains. In fact, for me, I was fine till I was all the way dilated, but they always made me roll to my left side and that is when I went into full blown pain. Until then I could sleep right through all the contractions. Once I rolled and forced the final progress of dilation, it was like getting hit by a truck, 15 mins and I was ready to push. I guess it all just depends on what the doctor wants to do and feels is right for you. When the doctors said they were going to induce me, I just went with it. After my 2nd one, it just seemed like what was supposed to be done with me.
I think getting induce is better because your aware and in control of what's going on. People say the contractions are worst but it's the same. I think people just get mad at the fact that the meds starts the contractions. You'll be fine. Good luck
I got induced with my first my experience was good i did get the epidural and had a very relaxing/calm labor dont let it scare you if you have to be induced i hope you have a good experience like i did!! In the mean time have sex, walk do squats and if u havent already have the dr do the membrane sweep those things may help. I had mine swept today im hoping to go into labor soon im 39 weeks and would love my lil man here already!! Good luck!
I recommend naturally going in to labor vs being induced ( pitocin ) Bad experience with two pregnancy first ended in c/section ( stress/heart rate issues )second had v- bac ( different doc ) and doctor had to stop the pitocin to strong to fast causing heart rate to drop with the baby eventually my body did the job on its own this pregnancy I will assist no induction / pitocin but everyone's different good luck don't want to scare you just my experience
Too much pitosIn does hurt but it should be a gradual process. And if you think about it, your body is going into labor with or without being induced. So yes it will be painful. If u can't stand the pain, I suggest going for the epidural. Don't bother with the pain mess they give. My friend had the pain mess n she said all it did was knock her out n put her to sleep but the contractions were still painful n woke her up. Plus, she got horribly nauseated from them.
Too much pitosen at once hurts. It makes contractions strong and painful. Make them start you out slow with it.
