induction vs natural

I am 39 weeks and a ftm, if baby isn't here by the 29th I'm getting induced. Everyone that I've told has said induction is worse that letting it happen. I want to let it happen, but for medical reasons they're doing it asap after 40 weeks. Has anyone known this to be true? If so, what was about different for you? Was it more painful?

I was induced with all 3. And will also be with my 4th at 38/39 weeks. I also got an epidural so i didn't feel any pain. So the induction is no big deal to me at all.

I'm on my second pregnancy.

With my first my water started breaking in its own but I wasn't having contractions they had to induce my labor with pitocin. Honestly the contractions sucked but it was the crowing that hurt the most for me.

I'm now being induced with my 2nd on monday because my BP keeps raising higher and I've had a temp of 99.6 so there is some medical concern.

Regardless it's nothing but a thing! Once the adrenaline kicks it you won't be worried about the pain, yoy will be worried about getting that beautiful baby out so you can love on him/her.
So to answer your question because I've heard the same thing I don't think it's so mucb true because my OB was telling me yesterday at my last appointment it all depends on how much drip they have going through your IV line with pitocin.

I hemorrhaged with my first and he said what they will do is after baby comes out they are going to double my pitocin by almost 10x to prevent me from hemorrhaging because what it'll do it'll make my uterus contract really hard and it'll stop alot of the bleeding from being squeezed so tight.

I'm effacing and am dilated at a 2 1/2 so I have some chance of it happening on its own. And I think if I am to be induced that it won't be to bad because my body is already getting ready for it. But you're right, everyone is different so  who knows. Thank you!

Every woman is different. For some its better cuz it takes less stress off the baby in a way. But for some others if their body just isn't ready, it can be worse and more intense labor. So hard to say.
