infection! update #4

They think I have an infection. I started bleeding today. They said the color and odor has changed of the fluid. I'm still 1 1/2 cm dilated and i am contracting. They are going to check for infection and determine what happens from there!

I can't believe that they are making you suffer like thos for so long! Hopefully baby will decide to come on his own very shortly! I agree with luroony also, an incubator can surely accommodate him for a cpl wks until he is healthy enough on his own. I'd be surprised if all your bodies negative reactions aren't having some sort of effect on him

I honestly dont blame you feeling like that,i think id be pleading and begging them to get baby out at this stage if i were in your shoes..its not fair on you keeping and putting your body through distress...surely an incubator for few short weeks can accomodate baby and do the same job..hopefully they will come round and get baby out sooner....your 31 weeks or around that am i right? Surely they cant expect you to keep this up for another 3 weeks

I think the same exact thing! My body is fighting with itself though and they won't induce me till 34 weeks. My body wants to have him but my cervix is like you don't have to dilate to have him so I'll just give you contractions as if you're going to have him. Now I'm bleeding a lot just not enough to fill a pad. It's a lot of clots. I'm in so much pain to even move my legs bc these contractions are all in my back. Baby's heart with every contraction stops but picks back up to normal in a couple seconds. Why can't they just do what my body is trying to do for itself? Ughhhh. I'm so tired. Haven't slept in around 20 hours. I've thrown up 4 times. I've gotten 4 bags of fluids. Shouldn't this tell them that I am done physically?

My god your really goin through it,even though its probably better for baby to stay inside you for as long as possible im surprised they are putting you through all this..if baby is doin ok will an incubator for a few weeks not be ok too and allow you some rest from it all,you must be so exhausted from it all

I am requesting one at 34 weeks... so 3 weeks left.. they won't do anything unless I go into labor myself.. I already asked if I could call this and just let it be done but they said no... :/ the only thing helping me get through these contractions is telling myself that it'll go away in a few seconds and breathing and grabbing onto the bed.. I don't want any pain meds till I am allowed to get the epidural bc last time I was given pain meds I found out I'm allergic to them by my heart going up to 188 and me completely blacking out being unresponsive and that was on saturday.. so no pain meds till the epidural!

They moved me to labor and delivery bc my contractions were coming every minute. They gave me sugar fluids to slow them down. They have slowed down a lot but still just as painful.. no baby tonight!

I completely understand where you are coming from! Although I have not been nearly as sick as you have been, my husband and I also have agreed not to have any more children because of how much my health has suffered.  I've been so lucky that my baby boy has been healthy through this whole thing and all my ups and mostly downs.  I can't wait to have him and just concentrate on my new lil family

I have been thinking about you too,doesnt sound like your gonna get much longer before baby arrives especially if infection is setting in,be safer for baby and you to come soon if thats the case..good luck hun i really really hope everything goes well x

Yup little boy. I hope so! I can't wait to be healthy so that way I can focus on baby boy and not worry about my health... my husband and i are having out first child and have already agreed to not have anymore bc of this pregnancy... my health was put in danger so much and it's not worth putting another baby through this or worse. Just want my baby out so he can be healthy and we can be happy...

Aww :-( hopefully this us it for you and you can have your little boy (I think, right?) And be on the track to getting yourself healthy. So sorry this has been such an awful experience for you

Thank you I will! They think I might be in labor. I just lost all my mucus plug(I almost threw up) I am still bleeding and contractions are every two minutes. I'm also very nauseous and hot... I just want this to be over!!

30+4. I've been on three different antibiotics since saturday to keep me from getting an infection in the fluid. So if I have one they will take him out tonight

How many weeks are you at? Hopefully they can give you antibiotics so baby can stay in a little longer.  Everyday helps baby but obviously if you have an infection it might be safer for baby to come now.  Praying for you,  baby,  and doctors to make the best decisions possible!
