Am I leeking animotic fluid? warning...kinda gross

I was at my OB on Monday and told her I had discharge twice over three days, where it was enough to make my underwear wet and it was thin and sort of translucent white ish.  She seemed concerned about it being animotic fluid and checked my cervix. She said everything was fine. But it happened again this morning and possibly once more since then. After reading about the chatacteristics like smell and consistency and about the risks involved with low amniotic fluid, I'm really concerned that's what it is and I need to be checked again. Anyone experience this? Was it amniotic fluid or just discharge? What was the result? If its a fluid leak would it be coming out non-stop or just once a day or so like I am having?

I had a slow leak with my son. There is a very simple test they can do to make sure it is not amniotic fluid. They don't even have to check your cervix.  All they do is get this special kind of paper, put it on the fluid where you are leaking. Then they look at the strip to see if it is amniotic fluid. It must turn the strip a certain color if it is amniotic fluid. Call your doctor back and tell them you want that done.

I'm only 18 weeks so if this is a leak that's a bigger issue. That's why I'm so concerned. Thank you! I'll ask for a sono. Haven't had one in a couple months now.

With my son it was a slow leak, We managed to keep him in with enough fluid for 3 more weeks (36-39 weeks)
If your worried ask them to do a sono to test amniotic fluid levels, i had weekly checks after i started leaking.
