is this normal?

I'm about 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I'm having really bad lower back pain and some mild cramping. I went to the hospital saturday and they ruled out a miscarriage. I'm just wondering if I should be concerned?

I have found out through reading through a lot of the ladies' posts on here that cramping as well as spotting at around 5-9 weeks is normal as long as you are not bleeding heavily. The cramping and spotting is just the embryo implanting itself onto the wall of your uterus causing the discomfort. So if you find that you are spotting along with the cramps, don't be alarmed. But if you start bleeding heavily, definitely go into the er.

Anytime you feel like you don't know what's going on you should call your doctor or a 24 hour nurse hotline..just to double check. You never wanna be stressing bout something that you just don't know about..it's a much easier pregnancy when you don't have too much to worry about.
