They are good for labor! The reason the keep your V tight is because you are strengthening your vaginal muscle. The stronger they are the easier labor is. Muscles stretch! So don't worry if you think you'll be too tight in fact the muscle will be stronger giving you a chance of less tearing.
i think they work. i had done alot of work prior to trying to get pregnant with strengthening my pelvic floor with Pilates and metals were part of it. im 30 wks now and feel amazing. no issues with any leakage which ive seen some other moms to be post amd so far no back or pelvic pain. i dont know if that's why but im sure it didn't hurt. and yes im hoping in speeds up recovery time after. and someone did mention not get too tight before and thats also true you want to be strong but not hypertonic (excessively tight) because it will be hard to relax ot amd open up for delivery. so yoga and visualization help you develop good control over the muscles so you can push hard when needed but relax those muscles when needed.
I'm pretty sure it's more for keeping everything in there tight so that you don't end up with lbl (light bladder leakage) the muscles your using support the bladder, urethra, rectum and uterus which helps you to avoid urinary stress incontinence which can affect you during your pregnancy and after so I'd say start now if you haven't already :) :)
I do them all the time during pregnancy an even in between. Im having my 4th and ive never torn and gone back tight each time.. I think they keep the muscles in good shape down there personally.
They do help to keep her tight but mii aunt had 5 kids nd told me to hold off on them cause u dnt want a super tight coochie nd then have to push a baby out ..... make since to me
I mean r they any good for pregnancy and labor???
