keytones? dangerous?

I went to the er last night and the doctor said I had keytones. how she phrased it sounded dangerous to me and baby. I have been diagnosed with hyperemesis, is that part of the cause? is there a lot of danger to my baby?

It's ketones, and is protein excreted in the urine and has to do with poor nutrition, low carb diets, and low blood sugar. It's more of a signal that you need to get more nutrients to yourself and the baby rather than the ketones themself being dangerous. It's really quite common in pregnant women who are really sick with nausea and vomiting.
