Even if she's overweight and at risk they would never suggest to purposely lose weight. They would give her a certain amount of carbs to eat daily. Keeping her from gaining so much weight.

Depends how much do you weigh? If you overweight your Dr. Is probably concerned because obesity makes a pregnancy high risk

I've heard of them saying lose weight before trying to get pregnant or after but never during. Wow. New doctor! A healthy active lifestyle should keep you in the right parameters. Im overweight to start and have gained a bit more than recommended but nothing crazy. Super good, healthy snack... celery with peanut butter and raisins. You work off more calories eating celery than it contains. Peanut butter while high in fats (some of which are good fats) is great protein and raisins are high in iron which can help battle anemia. Just thought I'd share that, lol. Anyway, I still eat a few cookies if that's what I want. I don't deprive myself of cravings, I just limit amounts.

Yeah it is any good doc would advise you from doing it. They would tell you to eat healthy and keep active. Which will keep you from gaining a lot of weight. Because you are gonna gain weight but if you eat healthy it will mainly be baby your breast uterus amniotic fluid stuff like that.

It's not good to purposely lose weight while pregnant. It keeps the baby from getting the nutrients it needs. If you eat right and healthy and go for walks it'll keep you from gaining so much weight. In some cases women do lose some weight but no more than couple lbs. You might wanna find a new doc if he was concerned about you AND baby He would of put you on a special diet. But he shouldn't be telling you to purposely lose weight.
