I'm 23 weeks pregnant and fainted 2 weeks ago and ever since I've felt faint and lightheaded every day.
Just been doctor's she said I have really low blood pressure and it drops by 20 when I stand up...
Got to have blood tests to check my iron on Monday.
Has anyone else had low blood pressure x

Ok so I had the same problem with my 3rd baby and was extremely concerned and spoke to my doctor about it. His response?  ...eat a pickle.  Now at that time I thought he was crazy, but sure enough the next time I felt like passing out I tried it and immediately felt better. After my 1st semester in medical school I realized why it worked...sodium raises blood pressure and that's also why Gatorade is helpful.  Try it! It was a lifesaver for me. Good luck

It's horrible I don't even dare leave the house on my own...she said it's because the bloods going to the placenta etc...she said it should get better in third trimester. I feel so spaced out like you do when your drunk or tipsy :/ x

When I was 18-22 weeks I was having pretty bad dizzy spells, burning never passed out from them. I was told that your blood volume starts increasing at this time and can cause you to feel this way. Keep in touch with the doc. If they say it's elevated blood pressure they should keep an eye on ya. Also drink lots of water...I found that helped me with my dizziness.
