migraines

I'm nearing my 17th week of pregnancy, and up to now it has not been a smooth ride. My sickness hasn't fully stopped yet and over the past week I've been suffering with the worst headaches I've ever had. I haven't been able to work because I literally have to be confined in a dark room. Is anybody else getting bad headaches? Somebody said it could be something to do with blood pressure, I just want to be sure it's not something to worry about.

Thank you :)

Dehydration can also cause them. Since that is the easiest to fix, be sure you are drinking nearly a gallon of water each day.

Your hormones can cause migraines as well. Talk to your doc if you are not able to function. I get about one migraine a week now that I am prego an they last 3 to 4 days. I was unable to function. The doc gave me migraine meds that are safe for the baby. Life is so much better! I hope you feel better soon.

Possibly high BP, allergies or high sugar.
